Kawasaki’s racetrack focus is plain to see in the redesigned Ninja ZX6R. The new 599cc engine has been slimmed down by nearly 40mm allowing for a more compact chassis which translates to better turn in response. Kawasaki’s focus on handling has resulted in an extremely stable ride even under race level demands. The new low-friction engine design, fully adjustable Uni-Trak suspension, and wet slipper clutch combine to produce a distinctly stable bike that is able to handle high speed corner entry and as late of a braking point as you dare. The ZX6R’s long wheelbase, and new chassis are highly praised as one of the most rider friendly designs to date in Kawasaki’s Ninja 600cc history. With the ZX6R being designed for the track, riders should be aware this Ninja is far more concerned with lap times than keeping you comfortable on long commutes, but when it comes to 600cc sport bikes, the Ninja ZX6R continues to be right in the mix with the likes of Honda, Suzuki, and Yamaha. This year’s Ninja stands out on it’s ability to handle fast corner entry, and late braking with incredible stability, rather than just straight-line speed.
