The 2020 Suzuki GSX-R1000R is a high-performance sports bike that has undergone significant upgrades compared to its predecessor, the 2018 GSX-R1000R. The 2020 model is equipped with a more powerful engine, a redesigned chassis, and improved electronics. The bike’s 999.8cc inline-four engine produces 202 horsepower and 86 lb-ft of torque, thanks to a new finger-follower valve train, which allows for higher engine speeds and improved performance. The engine also features new Suzuki Exhaust Tuning-Alpha (SET-A) technology, which helps increase low-end torque and improve throttle response.

The 2020 GSX-R1000R’s chassis has also been redesigned to improve handling and stability. The bike features a new twin-spar aluminum frame that is more rigid than the 2018 model, which helps improve cornering performance. The suspension system has also been upgraded with Showa’s Balance Free Front (BFF) forks and a rear shock that features a new damping system. The electronics package on the 2020 model has also been improved, featuring a new quick-shifter that works in both up and downshifts, a new six-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), and updated traction control and ABS systems.
