How could you possibly improve on the notorious Yamaha R1? We don’t know either but Somehow Yamaha managed to do it. Redesigned in 2015 the new generation of Yamaha R1 comes in weighing 439 lb and an engine that produces up to 200 hp. Also included in this iteration of the R1 is an electronics package that includes Traction Control (TCS), antiwheelie Lift Control System (LIF), linked antilock brakes, Launch Control System (LCS), Quick Shift System (QSS), selectable power modes, and for the first time in a production motorcycle; Slide Control System (SCS).
