The 2019 BMW R 1250 GS is BMW’s flagship adventure-touring motorcycle and one of the most well-rounded bikes in its class. It replaced the R 1200 GS with a larger 1,254cc boxer twin and BMW’s ShiftCam variable valve timing, giving it stronger low-end torque, smoother power delivery, and better pull across the rev range. Output is about 136 hp and 105 lb-ft of torque, making it powerful enough for long-distance highway riding while still manageable for mixed pavement and light off-road use.

The bike is known for being comfortable, stable, and highly capable for touring, commuting, two-up riding, and adventure trips. It uses BMW’s Telelever/Paralever suspension layout, shaft drive, ABS, ride modes, and available electronic suspension and premium packages depending on trim.
