The 2026 Yamaha YZF-R7 is a lightweight middleweight sport bike powered by Yamaha’s proven 689cc CP2 parallel-twin engine. Its 270-degree crankshaft delivers strong, smooth torque throughout the rpm range, making the R7 exciting on winding roads while remaining manageable for everyday riding. For 2026, Yamaha updated the frame, aerodynamics and riding position, while adding new Bridgestone Battlax Hypersport S23 tires and lightweight spin-forged wheels.

The redesigned R7 also features a five-inch color TFT display, smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, cruise control and Yamaha’s third-generation quick-shifter for clutchless upshifts and downshifts. With sharp R-Series styling, integrated LED lighting, adjustable sport-oriented suspension and a 417-pound wet weight, the 2026 R7 offers an excellent balance of performance, comfort and modern technology for both street and track use.
